How to make clay sweets, flowers from resin molds
Posted on October 10th, 2009 in Shop for Kawaii Sweet Creations
We brought back a few clay molds from Japan and the response has been good and I thought it will be important to have videos teaching us how to use those molds. Luckily, there are a lot of such videos online and they are very helpful. If you are interested to use mold to make your clay miniatures and sweets, you can view more videos here.
I think you must have real tiny hands to make these tiny clay cuties lol.

@ créa-diddlindsey:
Il a été vendu ^ ^;
Hello,
I am very interested in these moulds too. I may ask the same question again. Sorry, but the answer was not clear for me
)
Can you use these moulds with raw Polymer clay (For example Fimo)?
Then, I would cure the clay after moulding it.
Do you know where I can get these moulds for a good price?
Many thanks.
@ Nanou:
Sorry that i was not clear lol.
Yes, these resin molds can be used with Polymer Clays as well.
They works the same way, and a trick to pull out the clay from the mold is by using Blu-Tack.
Fimo is soft and release easily from molds.
Or you can dust the mold with cornstarch before pushing the clay into the mold – this can release the clay easier.
You can get these molds at http://en.dawanda.com/shop/ToffeeHouse/306302-Deco-Clays-Molds
I hope this helps!
Thank you so much for your answer.
Hi,
I have tried some of floree molds I bought with fimo but it gets really sticky even if I use oil on the mold and it’s hard to let it out.
Is there something I can do?Cornstarch makes the fimo opaque and I don’t really like it..
thanks for helping!

@ vale:
I asked an expert and she told me we can try to blow dry the surface slightly and use a scotch tape to release the clay! I will try if that works
thanks so much for your ideas…I’m gonna try soon because it’s so sad to have those tiny cute molds and not being able to use them properly! The new staedler fimo in particular is too soft..even after I put it in the refrigerator!:(
thanks again

Hi I loved this video, I had similar molds which I’d ordered from a seller on Etsy who lives in Japan and I love them.
I have moved to Japan and wondered if you remembered where the shop was that you found these? I had to leave my craft things at home and am desperate to buy some more molds.
i think these molds are fantastic and would like to try them.I don’t understand the language on the products in the video however. I was wondering if the clay pieces were GLUED together??
Yes, they are glued together when dried
Is a particular type of glue needed or is it just PVA craft glue??
I am a new guy! I like here!
it is not exictly as i know!
Hi Veotti, please share what you know!
