I made these french macaroons!

We starting selling deco sweets kits from Japan due to requests from customers and I decided to buy 1 for myself to try because they just look so captivating and cute!

I use the tools and supplies from the kit and made the macaroons, it is my first time and i made the 3 macaroons in 30 mins and let them dry for awhile before applying the silicone cream. The mold included in the kit comes in so handy, and made everything so simple. The instructional manual is especially friendly although it is written in Japanese. If you are interested in clay making and is a beginner, this is a kit which i recommend.

It was fun and i will be making more macaroons to give away next week for the New Year. So if you like the macaroon charms i made, do check back often for the giveaway!

Sophie & Toffee was initially created for my line of handmade bags, but things in my life got busy and with Toffee House, I hardly had time to sew my bags. Till recently, Wendy appeared on my blog and went through my flickr album and decided to place an order for one of my bag designs!

I spent a day and completed the bag, added a few enhancements, like darts for slight base, magnetic closure, roomy pockets etc. This has geared me up to continue with Sophie & Toffee label for my bags, so stay tuned for my handmade bags collection at Etsy. My bags are along the theme of Japanese Vintage, Sweet Retro design. Hope you like this, the one I made for Wendy!

I am so gonna start designing and sewing my bags again! My fabrics are piled up in a corner and my sewing machine is calling out for me After a hectic month, I finally have some time with my sewing machine Let’s see what I can make…Stay tuned!
