Deco Sweets Recipe: Decoden Lollipops Jar

Posted on April 9th, 2010 in Fake Sweets Recipes

This is a Decoden Jar decorated by me using purely our supplies. I had really great fun with it!

Recipe

IKEA Jar
Fuwa Fuwa Whipped Cream
Clear Pink Glue Stick
7mm Half Pink Faux Pearls
4mm Round Multi-Colored Faux Pearls
Decollage Clear Chocolate Sauce
Polymer Clay Sprinkles
Polymer Clay Sticks
Glitter Lollipop Cabochon (Front right)
Pink Lollipop Cabochon (Front left)
Swirl Pink Lollipop Cabochon (Back)
Pink Donut Cabochon (Back left)
Sweet Cupcake Cabochon (Back right)
AB Faceted Pink Heart Rhinestone (Front left)
3mm Pink Rhinestone with Tip end
2mm Clear Rhinestone with Tip end

Point 1

An important point to note in this recipe is that, the Fuwa Fuwa Whipped Cream has to be thoroughly squeezed/squashed/pressed before cutting the pack for application. If not, the clay will not turn creamy and your results will not be good. If proper handling has been done to the Fuwa Fuwa Whipped Cream, the result will look like a vivid real whipped cream with good texture.

Point 2

The hot glue has to be applied from the top so that it drips down to create the icing sauce effect.
The rest is pretty simple and I bet a beginner can do it, because I am one! I hope you like it!

Sophie & Toffee turns 1 year old with a Sale!

Wow, time really flies and a year has passed.

I remembered when we first started selling supplies (ToffeeHouse), I was juggling with my day time job and could not wait to come back home to start on either my sewing (Yes, I was sewing a bit back then!) or answering customer’s queries!

When I have the courage to finally quit my day time job to concentrate on our supplies shop, I know I have to stock up on the different designs and start to look for high-quality items supplied by reputable factories.

We started with stocking up every part of space in our house possible. We work till wee hours to get orders shipped on the promised days. We had a faithful motorcycle which we travel on to brave raining days to our post office.

Over the year, because we have many loyal and fun customers (like you!), we told ourselves that all the late nights and long hours are worth it! It was totally awesome to have customers who turned friends, to leave us appreciative feed backs that felt like a pat on our shoulder. Friends who just love chatting with us and sharing with us their creativity.

Today, because of all the love and support shown to us, we managed to have a cabochon factory, small transport car for delivery, a new website for local customers with customizable purchases, a small humble office to better manage logistics inventory and to facilitate work flow.

S&T Office

These could not have happened if not for you.

To express our deep gratitude, we will be having a 18% discount sale for all purchases made on our new website and we will also include a cabochon freebies pack for every purchase! This promotion starts today 5 Apr, will last for 8 days and ends on 12 Apr – promotional code happy1year. Also, we have 4 sets of Re-Ment Magnets to give away! Find out more on our web shop.

Freebies Pack

Re-Ment Magnets

Over the year, we have met with a lot of steep competitions from other sellers and had some of the nastiest setbacks, but we are very grateful for those who had stayed with us. Please do not hesitate to drop us a mail to let us know how we can improve, to be the best we can for you.

THANK YOU!

3D Flexible Acrylic Mold Good for Clay Craft Making

Posted on April 2nd, 2010 in What's New in Our Supplies Shop?

Yesterday, I tried to use our clays with our new 3D flexible molds and they work! I took some photos to share with you and how easily it is to use compared to other molds which needed releasing agent or any other techniques.

The example shown was by using Fuwa Fuwa Paper clay with one of the 3D flexible mold.

I took a bit of the clay and press it firmly down into one of the design on the mold.

Because the mold is so flexible, I do not need to wait for the clay to dry or the need to put any kind of releasing agent. No need any other removing technique, I just simply bend the mold to pop the clay out.

And “Ta Da!” We got a cute tiny clay chocolate made from the flexible mold. No fuss, no mess, so easy!

Hence, these molds are good for clay craft as well as acrylic art. The designs on the mold are relatively smaller, excellent for nail art designs, earrings, and other small craft projects :D

3D Nail Art Acrylic Molds – How to

Posted on March 17th, 2010 in What's New in Our Supplies Shop?

We managed to get our hands on these molds and had launched it for sale yesterday at our online shops.

These molds are high-quality flexible acrylic molds made with no smell and are used for mainly nail art and other small items handmade projects like earrings and necklaces.

3D Nail Art Molds are made in Taiwan and have many cute and kawaii designs just like Floree. However, the latter molds are more for clay art while 3D Nail Art molds are more for acrylic art.

Acrylic molds have to be used with acrylic liquid and acrylic powder and no glue is required to stick it your nails – it’s that easy! Currently, we are not selling the acrylic liquid coat and acrylic powders – you are able to purchase them online readily as well. If there is a demand or requests from customers, we might consider selling them.

Take a look at the videos below produced by 3D Nail to find out more.

French Macaroon Charms made from Japan Fake Sweets Deco Kit

Posted on December 30th, 2009 in Interest Me!

I made these french macaroons!

We starting selling deco sweets kits from Japan due to requests from customers and I decided to buy 1 for myself to try because they just look so captivating and cute!

I use the tools and supplies from the kit and made the macaroons, it is my first time and i made the 3 macaroons in 30 mins and let them dry for awhile before applying the silicone cream. The mold included in the kit comes in so handy, and made everything so simple. The instructional manual is especially friendly although it is written in Japanese. If you are interested in clay making and is a beginner, this is a kit which i recommend.

It was fun and i will be making more macaroons to give away next week for the New Year. So if you like the macaroon charms i made, do check back often for the giveaway!
